San Fermín 2026 What to see and when
The schedule is quite similar from year to year, but some moments are unforgettable. We will try to list most of the festive events in 2026.
Monday, July 6, 2026 - El Chupinazo
San Fermín begins on Monday, July 6, 2026, at noon with the traditional Chupinazo.
El Chupinazo is the launching of a "rocket" from the top of Pamplona's City Hall to mark the start of the festivities.
In Pamplona's main square, everyone holds their traditional red scarf aloft, and red and white ribbons are waved over the crowd.
Tuesday, July 7 to Tuesday, July 14, 2026 - Encierros
The Encierros mark the beginning of each day and are followed nationwide in Spain.
They take place every morning at 8:00 AM from Tuesday to Tuesday.
Six bulls are released into the streets of Pamplona during San Fermín every morning. The Encierro (running of the bulls) takes place over 848.6 meters from Santo Domingo to the bullring.
Tuesday, July 14, 2026 - Pobre de mi
The 2026 Feria ends on the evening of July 14th with the song "Pobre de mi," meaning "Poor me."
The song is sung by the last revelers after nine days of uninterrupted festivities.

Few people know this, but another Spanish Feria is also taking place in July 2026 in Spain.
This is the Teruel Feria, called the Fiestas del Ángel (Vaquillas).
These Teruel festivities run from Monday, July 4, 2026, to Tuesday, July 14 2026.
Note: The inhabitants of Teruel call it La Vaquilla. There are 21 Peña in Teruel during the festivals, each with its own history.
