Rare phenomenon, this Friday, July 27, 2018 will be a total lunar eclipse, and Spain will be one of the best countries to see it.

The lunar eclipse of July 2018 on the earth

Australians will see the beginning of the disappearance of the moon and South America will see the end, but in the center there is Europe and especially Spain which will be extremely well placed.

The best places on earth will be in Africa and Asia.

Where to see the Eclipse of the Moon in Spain

Where the eclipse will be most visible is in the eastern part of the country, The Balearic Islands, and on the Mediterranean coast of Catalonia and Barcelona to Almeria in Andalusia passing by the community of Valencia and Alicante, even Madrid will be well placed.

Indeed in the central capital of Spain the moon will rise at 21:30 and the astronomical phenomenon will last until 23:14 with an exceptional point of view at 22:22. But in total the phenomenon in Spain will begin before the lifting of the Moon at 20:30.

What will you see during this Moon Eclipse

If you are located in the Balearic Islands, Mallorca, Ibiza or Menorca, you will attend a grandiose spectacle where the shadow of the earth will partially hide the moon, this will bring thanks to this penumbra a bright red color to the Moon.

This is the event of this year 2018 in the sky of Spain, your telescopes and cameras if you have the chance to be in Spain, or even better in the Balearic Islands.
